REGULATIONS OF SYLLABI FOR POST-GRADUATE COURSE IN
SIDDHA MEDICINE
(SIDDHA MARUTHUVA PERARIGNAR)
BRANCH III SIRAPPU MARUTHUVAM
I. POST GRADUATE DEGREE COURSE: 3 YEARS:
The following
persons will be eligible for admission
in the above course:

1. Persons who have passed BIM(Siddha)
/BSM&S/BSMS Degree Course
examination conducted by the Madras
University /Madurai Kamraj University/
Dr. MGR Medical University or
an examination accepted by the
syndicate as equivalent thereto.
2. Persons who hold degree in Siddha
Maruthuvam, the duration of which
must be of at least four years
and have undergone an internship
at Hospital for not less than
six months and conducted by the
institutions as recognised by
the State Government or the graduate
of Siddha of Foreign Countries
as recommended by the Govt. of
India.

II. DURATION OF THE COURSE:
The duration of the course in each branch of
study will be for three years.
III. REGISTRATION:
A candidate
for the MD (Siddha) Degree shall register
himself/herself with the University
prior to the commencement of the course
on the 1st of April or October paying
the prescribed fee (According to the
University rules).
IV. ATTENDANCE: -
1.
The student will be required to attend
at least 80% of total lectures and practical
in each subject before he/she will be
allowed to appear for the examinations.
The Syndicate may however consider special
case on Merit.
2. The
student will also be required to attend
Hospital duty daily till the completion
of the course, and during the third
year he/she will be required to perform
Houseman ship and a Tutorship without
any additional remuneration as instructed
by the Principal.
