  • Abhinivriti Sharir

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
GOALS
The broad goal of teaching Shareera  Rachana is to prepare students with basic knowledge of structure & its correlation with function and to apply the knowledge in clinical practise.
OBJECTIVES
At the end of the course student should be able to
KNOWLEDGE

  • Comprehend the normal deposition, clinically relevant inter relationship, functional and cross –sectional anatomy of various structures in the body.
  • Identify the microscopic structure and correlate elementary ultra structure of various organs, tissues and correlate the structure with the function as a pre-requisite for understanding the altered state in various diseases.
  • Comprehend the basic structure and connections of the central nervous system to analyse the integrative and functional of the organs and systems. He / She should be able to locate the site of gross lesions according to the deficits encountered.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of principles and sequential development f the organs and systems, recognize  the critical stages of the development and the effects of common teratogens , genetic mutations and environmental hazards .He / She should be able to explain the developmental basis of major various abnormalities.
  • Understand the principles of identify the gross congenital anomalies.
  • Understand clinical basis of some common clinical procedures i.e. intramuscular, intravenous injections, lumbar puncture and kidney biopsy.

SKILL

  • Identify and locate structures of the body and mark the topography of living anatomy
  • Identify the organs and tissues under microscope.

INTEGRATION
From the integrated teaching of other basic sciences, radiology and surgery the student should be able to comprehend the regulation and integration of the functions of the organs and systems in the body, thus interpret the anatomical basis of disease process.

There shall be two papers each carrying 100 marks. The pattern of question papers would be of three patterns.

QUESTION PAPER PATTERN (THEORY)

Each paper shall have two sections; each section shall carry 50 marks. There shall be one long essay, five short essay and seven short answer type of questions in each section

 

  • Long essay questions each carry 11 marks          11 X 02  =22
  • Short essay questions each carry 05 marks          05 X 10 =50
  • Short answers each carry 02 marks                        02 X 14=28
